September 2025 Construction Updates

Recent Activities:

• Shields Brook Bridge eastern abutment, Phase 1, concrete was finished.

• Overhead power relocation efforts have begun with the drilling for new poles and line relocations on Madden Road.

• Blasting continues along North High Street for drainage and waterline.

• Gas Line relocation on Folsom Road is ongoing.

• Construction of the stormwater treatment site opposite Manchester Avenue was completed.

• Work on the northwest wingwall has begun.

Upcoming Activities:

• Work on Phase 1 of the eastern abutment will continue until it is completed.

• The installation of drainage and waterline will continue where permitted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NH DOT).

• Installation of structural steel is anticipated in September.

• Drainage and waterline installation will continue on North High Street.

• Paving will begin on Madden Road.

August 2025 Construction Updates

Recent Activities:

• Blasting has been substantially completed in the stormwater treatment site opposite Manchester Avenue, with only work on the outlet remaining.

• Shields Brook Bridge eastern abutment phase 1 concrete has begun.

• Sand and crushed Stone have been installed on Folsom Road Phase 1.

• The 12” waterline across Shields Brook has been installed and connected to the existing main.

• Water main work along Folsom Road continued and is complete from Franklin Street to Lacona Avenue.

• Blasting along Folsom Road for drainage and waterline continued.

Upcoming Activities:

• Blasting along Folsom Road will continue for drainage and waterline work.

• The new 12” waterline across Shields Brook will be pressurized to assist in water delivery for the Town.

• The stormwater treatment site opposite Manchester Avenue will be excavated to grade and construction of the final configuration will begin.

• Construction of the Northwest MSE Wingwall will begin.

• Work on Phase 1 of the eastern abutment will continue until completed.

• Utility relocations are expected to begin the second week of August, beginning at the Folsom Rd./NH Route 28 intersection.

• Installation of drainage and waterline will continue.

• Installation of structural steel at the Shields Brook bridge is anticipated to begin in September.

July 2025 Construction Updates

Recent Activities:

• Blasting has continued in the stormwater treatment site opposite Manchester Avenue above the elevation of the access road.

• The western abutment phase 1 concrete is complete and awaiting mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall construction.

• Sand and crushed stone have been installed on Folsom Road between Manchester Ave and Laconia Ave.

• The Shields Brook stormwater basin site is complete and awaiting drainage to be connected.

• The multi use trail from north of the Shield Brooks Bridge to just north of Haley Drive has been excavated to subgrade.

• Water Main work along Folsom Road was started excluding the parcel 63 area.

• Blasting along Folsom road for drainage and waterline continued.

• All drilled shafts for phase 1 have been completed.

Upcoming Activities:

• Blasting will continue in the stormwater treatment site.

• A 12” waterline will be installed across Shields Brook in phases due to an inability to directionally drill the waterline.

• Select material installation will continue where subgrade is approved by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

• Construction of the north west MSE Wingwall will commence.

• Work on phase 1 of the eastern abutment will begin and continue until completed.

• Eversource’s contractor is anticipated to be on site in the near future.

• A storage tank will be installed at parcel 63 to facilitate the removal of the existing sewer line.

• Work for Madden road is on hold until the utility pole can be relocated.

• Installation of drainage and waterline will continue in areas permitted by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
