June 2026 Construction Updates

Recent Activities

  • Blasting operations for the pedestrian trail, RAP #3.

  • Installed drainage across Old Rum Trail to the intersection of Haley Drive, N. High Street, and Folsom Road.

  • Excavated American Excavators driveway and relocated to Haley Drive.

  • Performed waterline work on Old Rum Trail.

  • Comcast is relocating their facilities on the project.

  • Liberty Utilities is relocating the gas line on Tsienneto Road and Pinkerton Street.

  • Relocated Crown Castle Utility.

  • Poured approach slabs, sidewalks, and island on the bridge over Beaver Brook, phase 1.

  • Placed curbing on the north side of Folsom Road between Franklin Street and the start of Tsienneto Road.

Upcoming Activities

  • Installing drainage to bypass the box culvert.

  • Continue waterline work along Tsienneto Road.

  • Installing drainage site wide.

  • Swapping Route 28 signals to temporary signals.

  • Paving Old Rum Trail to the start of Folsom Road.

  • Pouring sidewalks on Folsom Road, between Franklin Street and the start of Tsienneto Road.

  • Excavation in front of the Royal T Carwash.

  • Brought in and laid down high quality fill material on Folsom Road between Manchester Avenue and Route 28.

  • Placed drainage and waterline to the intersection of Route 28 and Folsom Road.

  • Installing temporary signals at the intersection of Route 28 and Folsom Road.

Upcoming Activities

  • Install drainage to bypass the box culvert.

  • Finish Crown Castle utility relocation.

  • Pave Folsom Road between Manchester Avenue and Route 28.

  • Pour approach slabs for the bridge over Beaver Brook.

  • Place embankment on Old Rum Trail to adjust to new roadway profile.

February 2026 Construction Updates

  • Eversource completed their new line relocation.

  • FirstLight relocated their utility lines.

Upcoming Activities

  • Contractor has scaled back operations due to winter shutdown.

  • Utility work continues with relocation of signal power feed, relocation of the town fiber network, and FirstLight splicing cables.
